  • National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM)
    • The purpose of the National Association for Community Mediation is to support the maintenance and growth of community-based mediation programs and processes, to present a compelling voice in appropriate policy-making, legislative, professional, and other arenas, and to encourage the development and sharing of resources for these efforts.
  • National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution
    • The Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution was founded in 1986 by Associate Professor and Director, Marvin E. Johnson. Its mission is to promote and provide education and comprehensive approaches to dispute resolution that constructively serve the needs of our culturally diverse society. The Center began as a self-sustaining entity of Bowie State University and was the first and only Dispute Resolution Center at a Historically Black College or University.
  • National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution
    • The Center exists to support and sustain the development of information technology applications, institutional resources, and theoretical and applied knowledge for better understanding and managing conflict. The Internet is global and thus conflict management resources and expertise can be delivered from anywhere asynchronously. We are only at the beginning of understanding how individuals separated by great physical, cultural, or technological distances can utilize resources and expertise virtually.
    • The Center views cyberspace is an increasingly significant part of our personal and professional lives. Cyberspace is not a harmonious place, and the Center is dedicated to understanding the nature and origins of online conflict and of appropriate responses to it. In addition, we conceive of the online environment as a "place" where increasingly powerful tools will be available for working to find solutions to many forms of offline/online conflict, whether they are public or private, whether they involve commercial transactions or other social relationships, and whether they are international or domestic.
  • National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation
    • NCDD's mission is to bring together and support people, organizations, and resources in ways that expand the power of discussion to benefit society. We believe that elevating the quality of thinking and communication in organizations and among citizens is key to solving humanity's most pressing problems.
  • National Institute for Advanced Conflict Resolution
    • The National Institute for Advanced Conflict Resolution (NIACR) was founded for the purpose of advancing the field of conflict resolution in the United States, and promoting a greater understanding of the role of mediation in resolving disputes.  This website was created not only to provide an online resource for practicing mediators, but also to make available to the general public information about issues pertaining to mediation and conflict resolution.
  • National Institute for Citizen Education in the Law
    • A nonprofit organization devoted to empowering citizens through law-related education (LRE), NICEL coordinates an LRE Youth for Justice Program, which operates in 49 States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, to reach more than 1.4 million elementary and secondary school students.
  • National Institutes of Health, Office of the Ombudsman
    • The NIH Office of the Ombudsman, Center for Cooperative Resoloution is a neutral, independent, and confidential resource providing informal assistance to NIH scientists, administrators, and support staff in addressing work-related issues. The Ombudsman, who directs the Center, serves as a focal point for conflict resolution at NIH by (1) providing confidential, informal assistance to employees and managers in resolving work-related concerns, and (2)developing and coordinating effective dispute resolution processes and procedures. The Center offers a variety of services and programs to address likely sources of conflict such as performance appraisals, harassment, mentoring relationships, and scientific collaboration.
  • National Multi-Cultural Institute (NMCI)

    • NMCI's mission is to work with individuals, organizations, and communities in creating a society that is strengthened and empowered by its diversity. Through its initiatives, NMCI leads efforts to increase communication, understanding and respect among people of diverse backgrounds and addresses some of the important systemic issues of multiculturalism facing our society. We accomplish this through our Conferences in the Spring and Fall, individualized Organizational Training and Consulting interventions, Publications, and Leading Edge Projects.
  • National Peace Foundation
    • Our mission is to strengthen the foundations for peacebuilding, peace education and conflict resolution by promoting democratic justice through partnerships, intercultural exchanges and citizen networks.
  • Network of Communities for Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution
    • PeaceWeb has a 23-year history as The National Conference on Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution (NCPCR). Eleven international conferences, held in different parts of North America, have brought together thousands of youth and adult peacemakers and conflict resolution practitioners, who have inspired and challenged one another with peacebuilding stories, research, presentations, and performances. For the past decade PeaceWeb/NCPCR has focused on diverse traditions of peacemaking and increasingly involved youth and young adults at its global conferences.
    • Revitalized, restructured, and renamed following its 2003 conference, PeaceWeb seeks to link many more thousands of individuals and groups working for just peace, nonviolent conflict transformation, racial and economic justice, and environmental sustainability, whether at the local, national, or international level, and in academic, community, religious, government, or workplace settings. PeaceWeb's mission is to inspire all people throughout the world to find the peacemaker within and support them as they take part in activities that make peace; as well as to effectively link together individuals and organizations to build a powerful force for peace.
  • Non Governmental Peace Strategies Project
    • Aims to contribute to the achievement of a Global Ethical Target: conflict prevention, the fight against intolerance, defense of human rights and social responsibility, thereby strengthening the notions of democracy and "governance".  NGPSP has thus developed new vehicles for the private sector in order to support these aims. The NGPSP's projects are geared towards the realization of both "global security" and "transnational democracy".  The project proposes an alliance for better international civil understanding between the private and public sectors and aims at fostering a culture of peace and finding a common ground between the "Ghandian Satyagraha" and the "Western Globalist".
