Program on Conflict Resolution
a. Program on Conflict Resolution, Director - Professor Gerald Steinberg.
The Program on Conflict Resolution of Bar-Ilan University was initiated in
1997 by the late Hans Bachrach of Melbourne, Australia. This program is
designed to promote and support the development of courses, public lectures,
training programs, specialized seminars, evaluation methods, and publications
in applied aspects of conflict management and resolution. The techniques that
will be considered in this program include the use of simulations,
single-negotiating texts, track-two processes, mediation, arbitration, and
functionalism. Analytic methods for examining and comparing techniques and
approaches in various circumstances include systematic comparative case
studies, and historic analysis of conflict management and negotiations in
different spheres of public life.
