The techniques that will be considered in this program include the use of simulations, single-negotiating texts, track-two processes, mediation, arbitration, and functionalism.  Analytic methods for examining and comparing techniques and approaches in various circumstances include systematic comparative case studies, and historic analysis of conflict management and negotiations in different spheres of public life.
