J.D. Degree with a Concentration in Dispute Resolution: A student, while completing the 86 credit hours required to earn a J.D. degree may take 11 of those hours from a select list of courses to earn a Concentration in Dispute Resolution. Requirements include: completing required (Dispute Resolution, and Negotiation or Mediation) and several elective courses (Dispute Resolution Seminar; Interviewing & Counseling; Labor Arbitration; General Litigation Clinic; Mediation; Mediation Clinic; Negotiation; and Trial Advocacy, as well as earning a minimum cumulative grade point average in the concentration courses.

    LLM with Concentration in Alternative Dispute Resolution.  The Moritz College of Law LL.M. is a one-year general LL.M. program designed to provide foreign lawyers with a basic understanding of the United States legal system through a rigorous program of legal training by the College of Law faculty.

   Requirements: (1) New Learning -- (proficiency) substantial development of new learning, or proficiency, in the field of study. Plans for proficiency development are detailed in the Learning Agreement, generally including a definition of each area, objectives, learning strategies and methods, proposals for documentation and evaluation and a preliminary bibliography to support the new learning. (2) Internship -- The internship must be at least the equivalent of three months full time work and must be in an activity that is new for the learner. Peace Education Certificate Program

    Graduate Certificate in Peace Education (21 quarter credit hours).  The Peace Education Certificate offers a core of courses on multicultural, global, and human rights education, conflict resolution, violence prevention, peace studies theory, and structural violence paradigms. It indicates to current and prospective employers that you have taken the initiative to develop knowledge about conflict resolution, diversity training, human rights education and have developed a multicultural and global worldview.

    Graduate Certificate in Urban Education (21 quarter credit hours). The Urban Education Certificate will prepare teachers to meet the challenges and needs of urban school children. The incorporation of a focus on conflict resolution and violence prevention is a unique feature of this certificate.
