Residency Programs
Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution (24 credit hours: 12 credit
hours in Theoretical Foundations and 12 credit hours in Practice and
Applications; Practice: No practice is required)
Graduate Certificate in Peace Studies. The Graduate Certificate is
a 24-credit program. Students can tailor the Graduate Certificate to their
interests. The program is offered in both residential and distance learning
formats. These flexible formats allow mid-career working adults and those
unable to attend the on-campus program, to study in a creative, rigorous,
and structured fashion. Students enrolled in the online program participate
in Residential Institutes onthe main campus twice per year, as well as
online Web-based courses.
Graduate
Certificate in Health Care Conflict Resolution. The Graduate
Certificate in HCCR consists of eight courses (24 credits), which include
biopsychosocial and systemic theories, practice skills, professional issues,
and health care systems. The program is offered in both residential and
distance learning formats. These flexible formats allow mid-career working
adults and those unable to attend the oncampus program, to study in a
creative, rigorous, and structured fashion. Students enrolled in the online

in Research, 6 credit hours in Supervised Practice, and 9 credit hours in
Electives or Master’s Thesis; Practice: Practicum I and II are required)
Ph.D. in Dispute Resolution (82 credit hours: 18 credit hours in
Theoretical Foundations, 30 credit hours in Practice and Applications, 28
credit hours in Research including a minimum of 12 credit hours in
Dissertation, and 6 credit hours in Electives; Practice: Practicum I and II
and a teaching internship required)
