MA Peace and Justice
Studies. Most M.A. degrees in peace studies focus on international
relations. USD does this too, but also builds on philosophy, religious
studies, and ethics. As a Catholic university, USD can build on over a century
of experience with the tradition of Roman Catholic social teaching. We also
integrate the computer-based approach of geographic information systems (GIS)
into the Program so students will have up-to-date skills in analyzing
demographic and geographic information in relation to conflict resolution, the
environment, refugee movements, and urbanization.
